'Rightly Dividing the Word'
Lampstand in the Holy Place
Rev 4:5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
The seven lamps of the lampstand before the throne of God are the seven Spirits of God.
Jesus Given the Seven Spirit
Rev 5:6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
Our Lord Jesus was given all the seven Spirits, which He sent out to empower His servants throughout the world.
John 3:34 "For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure."
Seven Spirits of God
Isa 11:1-2 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
The Seven Spirits of God given to Jesus were:-
1. The Spirit of the Lord
2. The Spirit of wisdom
3. The Spirit of understanding
4. The Spirit of counsel
5. The Spirit of might
6. The Spirit of knowledge of the Lord
7. The Spirit of the fear of the Lord
Ministerial Gifts of Jesus
John 3:35 "The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand."
Our Lord Jesus gives the seven Spirits of God in measure to anoint His servants in accordance to their ministries.
1. A New Convert or Christian will be given the Holy Spirit of redemption.
2. Wise Christian - when a Christian obeys His words, he is wise and he will be given the Spirit of wisdom
Mat 7:24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:"
3. Teacher - when a wise Christian with the Spirit of understanding, understand his words, he is His anointed teacher.
4. Pastor - when His teacher with the Spirit of counsel, teaches, counsels and cares for the sheep, he is His pastor.
5. Evangelist - when His pastor with the Spirit of might, endures pains and sufferings reaching the unsaved, then he is His evangelist.
6. Prophet - when His evangelist with the Spirit of the knowledge of the Lord, understands God's love, will, ways, judgement, displeasure and sadness, then he becomes His prophet.
7. Apostle - when His prophet with the Spirit of the fear of the Lord, fear that he may have fallen short of His perfect expectation, he is His Apostle.
Eph 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
To be Perfect like Christ
Eph 4:12-13 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
God anoints and empowers His servants to be perfect and to disciple His sheep into His image.
The Appointed of God
I Cor 12:28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
Whenever a new church is created, God will appoint the leadership for the church. If these leaders abide in His word, then they will become His anointed servants.
Warning: - but if the leadership strays from His words by teaching worldly wisdom, distorted truth and heresies, then they are savage wolves (false prophets) among God's flock and making depraved disciples after themselves.
Act 20:29-30 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.
